It will be necessary for delegates to create an account (this is only required once) and you will then need to register onto the event.

The primary focus will be on the successful implementation of the National Early Warning Score (NEWS) in community settings by District Nursing Teams, CRT/ART across Wales, demonstrating their work, one year on from the launch of NEWS in the Community setting by our CNO Wales Jean White and also the current project work of introduction of NEWS/Acute Deterioration work into Care Homes. Further current and prospective work concerning patient safety within the wider community including minor injuries units and the Welsh Ambulance Service, additional to work with specific patient groups including those with learning disabilities and paediatrics will be showcased; working together for safer health and social care in Wales.

This event will use the values and design principles of ‘A Healthier Wales’ to discuss and explore the current and emerging work of patient safety in the community setting. Presentations of work from both local and national programmes will be incorporated into the day, leading to the sharing of good practice and quality improvement across Wales.
