Event National Patient Safety Conference: Creating a positive patient safety culture Venue All Nations Centre, Cardiff CF14 3NY
Purpose The aim of this event is to inspire, motivate and equip those working in the Welsh NHS to make a positive difference to patient safety. There will be a focus on leadership and culture through a combination of nationally recognised speakers and seminars plus an opportunity to discuss legal issues including developments in Wales such as Duties of Quality and Candour.
Who The day will include an address from the Health Minister and Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Speakers confirmed are Dr John Harden National Clinical Lead for Quality and Safety at the Scottish Government, Dr Chris Turner from Civility Saves Lives, Dr Suzette Woodward RGN – National patient safety specialist, Richard Booth QC, and partners from within Wales - HIW, Improvement Cymru and the Welsh Risk Pool.
