BCUQI 2019 Conference Poster Competition

3rd BCU Quality Improvement, Innovation & Research Conference

29th and 30th of April 2019, Venue Cymru Llandudno

Abstract submissions for poster display presentation are open.

The categories are;


· Quality Improvement


QI is a systematic, data-guided activities designed to bring about immediate improvements in health care quality of care for patients. The QI process involves evaluating and learning from experience using the Plan, Do, Study, Act process. Requirse registration with Clinical audit department


· Research


A systematic investigation, including research development, testing, and evaluation, designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge. Requires Ethical approval.

There is an additional prize for the best poster by a trainee.


Abstracts should be no more than 250 words.


Important Dates


All abstracts MUST be submitted by the 22nd March 2019 23:59 to the email address bcu.qualityimprovement@wales.nhs.uk.

Please label subject of email BCUQI Poster abstract submission.

Any submissions received after this date will be returned and not reviewed.

Please send abstract as a PDF only please titled ‘BCUQI Poster abstract your name with short summary title of work ’.

Applicants will receive notification from the reviewers by 29th of March 2019.


Poster Printing

· It is your responsibility to print your poster and deliver it to the conference on the day.

· Your poster should be A1 sized in portrait orientation.

· The postgraduate department in East, Central and West may be able to facilitate this. Otherwise commercial printing services are available locally or online.

(Printing at West for A1 is £25 at least one to two weeks notice is needed for printing.)
